About me

Hi! I founded and ran NY Writers Coalition, a community-based creative writing program at the intersection of arts and social justice for more than 20 years. I've successfully navigated countless challenges, raised millions of dollars for a mission many considered un-fundable, and have brought a values-driven, compassionate approach to everything I do. I'm now bringing all I've learned about nonprofit leadership to my consulting practice to support impactful, mission-driven people and organizations. I'm also a published novelist, poet, and essayist and offer free and affordable creative writing community opportunities through the Bad Habits Writing Academy.
